For The Love of it...........

Tracey and I have an affinity for creating things.... hence how we ended up in this business.  We both started out creating things for our children,  fun clothing, bibs, burp cloths, etc.  Since opening Whimsically Chic we have expanded our product line into so many different areas we have the ability to dabble in all kinds of creative avenues.  We thank you for that!!!!!  However, we occasionally have the nostalgic desire to go back to our roots, or shall I say sewing tables, and conjure up some new creations for some of our favorite whimsies.  I will check my texts (for those who know me, my phone isn't always glued to my ear) and find a picture of a new creation Tracey has finished for one of our customers or vice versa.  It is exhilarating to see the adorable ways our minds work to create something chic and unique with just that touch of whimsy.   For those who are new to us.... PERFECT FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS

The Question that arises every approaching father's day for me and many others is "What am I going to get for Father's Day?"  I have even noticed a common trend amongst my friends and I, asking each other for advice.  My father n law is one of those guys that I struggle with every year to buy for.  He is always so appreciative, but is honestly just as happy with a phone call or card.  However, in my "gift giving, go overboard, let's monogram and personalize everything", nature,  I find it impossible to do just that.  Last year,  on a desperate, Ugggggghhhh it's almost here and still have found nothing, whim,  I grabbed a navy ball cap from my stock and monogrammed Pop-Pop ( His given name by the beloved grand kids).   Out of the 15 years of being in the Boone family, it is honestly the one gift I have seen on him constantly.  In fact, when they were visiting several weeks ago I noticed he was still wearing it.  It thrilled me to no end.  Soooooo....  when I started asking myself the dreaded question, what do I do this year for Father's Day???  I am  yet again stumped on my father-n-law,  however....  I know just what I am getting for my Daddy!!!!!!!   P.S.  I am thinking T-shirt with Pop-Pop

Wedding Bells are Ringing......

One of our favorite things to do at Whimsically Chic is assisting brides-to-be with their wedding gift giving plans. We are amazed at the ingenious gift ideas our brides come up with for their brides maids and bridal families. This beautiful bride is in Chicago and wanted monogrammed umbrellas for her girls, in case of rain.  Luckily for their beautiful wedding day do's, the oh so clever Kelly, had chosen the perfect companion for a drizzly Chicago nuptial.  It is absolutely one of the prettiest pics I have ever seen.  Thank you for sharing, Kelly.  We wish you a life of whimsy, love and happiness.

What are Stephen Bonanno's

What are Stephen Bonanno's you ask???  What is all the Hype??? And...... WHY are they so expensive????  Well.....  These are the questions I asked myself a couple of years ago while searching the internet for new shoes.  I happened upon a website in Stuart Florida that sold Monogrammed Sandals.  Well... we all know that is perfect for me. My first thoughts were, "wow those are amazing" then "holy cow those are expensive". LOL  I started reading the story of these shoes and let's just say it didn't take long for me to bite the bullet and let Steve buy me a pair. LOL  It was a fun process, I designed the shoe from top to bottom, sandal style, heel size, base and whip stitch color and optional monogram  and then waited 6 weeks for them to arrive. It was like Christmas morning.  When I opened the box and pulled out my first shoe I knew why these jems were pricey.  They would be a staple in my wardrobe from that day forward, re soling after resoling.  These classic shoes would never leave my closet.  And so the story began, my love affair with a pair of sandals that railroaded my closet from one to six pair, convincing my partner to take the splurge (*she has four pair) and begin selling these to our fellow whimsies.
